Organ recital
20th of April 2024
Doors open: 5pm
Start: 5:30pm
This year, David Titterington is celebrating 35 years as Musical Director and Chief Organist of the Dutch Church. David is also Head of Organ at the Royal Academy of Music. In order to mark this remarkable anniversary, he is giving a special Anniversary Concert in conjunction with the Dutch Centre and the St. Albans International Organ Festival, of which he is the Artistic Director.
In this concert, David will perform works by among others Vincent Lübeck, J.K, Kerll and Hugo Distler. As he is honouring his many years at the Dutch Church, there will also be a Dutch element in the programme, with a beautiful setting of Psalm 23 by Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck and variations on the ‘Geuzenlied’ ‘Merck toch hoe sterck’ by Cor Kee. It promises to be a beautiful concert; something to greatly look forward to.
Entry will be free, but there will be a collection at the end for the St Albans International Organ Festival.
